You might be confused and think that because of “warranty”, which is supposedly a “guarantee”. The truth is, a warranty is not a guarantee.
A warranty is a contract between you and another party, whereby if certain conditions are met they “warrant” you certain rights.
This is a legal naming trick to make sure that you don’t really have a right to a claim, but if the claim arises it is justified that you raise a claim. But no “guarantees”.
I hope this dispels the confusion.
