how would you translate this sentence?
- กูไม่ได้ชอบกวนตีนมึง

I thought putting “ไม่ได้” before the verb gave the sentence the meaning of a past action. Like “I didn’t like messing with you” But the translations i saw was like “ I dont like messing with you” Shouldnt I say “กูไม่ชอบกวนตีนมึง” for “ I dont like messing with you” for the present tense i mean or is it okay to say both?

It is like English that sometimes speaker use present sim to stress (even though that thing has just done).

กูไม่ได้ชอบกวนตีนมึง
VS กูไม่ชอบกวนตีนมึง

With no context, the subtle different is "กูไม่ได้ชอบทำ" sth >> imply I don't like doing it. I have to done it because of some reasons.

By the way "กูไม่ชอบทำ sth" >> just tell I don't like doing it. Reader doesn't know กู did it or not.

@takara01 oh okay so it might actually be better to use “ไม่ได้” if we want the person to know that we have done these actions. thank you 🙏🏽☺️

eg.
A : กินข้าวหรือยัง Have you eaten yet?
B : ยังไม่ได้กิน No, I haven't
(wrong meaning ยังไม่ได้ชอบกิน)
C : กินแล้ว Yes, I have.

D: อาหารอร่อยมากเลย คุณ E ทำใช่มั้ยครับ
E : อาหารมื้อนี้ ฉันไม่ได้ทำ แฟนฉันเป็นคนทำค่ะ This meal I did not cook. My boyfriend did.
(wrong meaning อาหารมื้อนี้ ฉันไม่ได้ชอบทำ แฟนผมเป็นคนทำ)

แฟน of E :
- ใช่ครับ ผมเป็นคนทำอาหารมื้อนี้เอง ขอบคุณครับ
- ใช่ครับ ขอบคุณครับ

= เมื่อก่อนผมไม่ชอบ.... ตอนนี้ชอบแล้ว
