We took in the sights in the morning.
You can take in sweeping views of the valley.
So, I've heard from a native friend of mine that the word VIEW is suppose to be used as singular. Except for the situations that it is referring to the peoples point of view. But I found this sentence from a book that I'm reading, and I am kind of confused. In the same sense, is it okay to use the word SIGHT in plural as well? and also, did I make a lot of mistakes in using the article in the sentences that I wrote, including the questioning sentences? soa natural?

It sounds natural in this context. I think sweeping views is plural because it has the sense of needing to look around to take in all the views. In the singular “the view” is what you can see in front of you.
You could say “the hotel room has amazing views from the panorama windows” for example - the suggestion being that you would have to move or look around to take it all in.
