Is it wrong if you answer a "have you.." question with "i did"?

It likely depends on the rest of the question, or the next word.

It's possible to find some cases, like:

"Have you seen the movie Batman already?"
"I did"

where casually it's OK (as short for "I did see it")

or

"Have you done your homework?"
"I did!"

(for "I did do it", though it would often be more typical to just say "Yes")

But it can be awkward sounding, and for many examples like "Have you been to France?" it would be totally wrong.

Present Perfect
if the question begins with Have or Has the answer must be with have or has

Past Simple
if the question begins with did the answer must be with did

the difference between Present Perfect and Past Simple

Present Perfect is an action in the past but has smth to do with the Present. for example:
you come to school and you see someone painted a wall but yesterday the wall was clean like usual and you say
'who has painted the wall?'

Past Simple is an action that took part in the past and ended in the past
example:

I did my homework yesterday.
so the question here will be: 'did you do your homework?'
if you are doing an exercise in class and the teacher told you that you have to finish it in class you ask your mate 'have you finished the exercise?'
