şimdi, if you have a longer sentence then you need to put this word in the end.

i was too lazy to throw out the trash but they asked me to (throw out the trash)

you see? It would sound akward if you would say it twice so you just cut out the verb. Also, when somone else said already the verb stem you dont need to say it. örnek:

-I don't want you to throw out the trash!
-But they want me to (throw out the trash)
