Yea it’s true. But it’s kind of a back and forth thing with Americans and British people. British people make a joke about American accents and Americans will make joke about British accent. No real harm done.

I don't think we make fun of UK English when we say it. If anything, we think we sound cool because we're pretending to be British and Americans love British accents. This is from my experience. Especially after the Harry Potter movies had just come out.

I'd agree. sometimes we Americans (not nec. me but I have friends who say this) might say... "AW... BLOODY HELL MATE!" in a bad UK accent. we're not making fun really, it's just something we say. correct, no harm done.

@emtrivoli Yep, I've heard plenty of people say exactly that.
We think it's cool, especially since our rough equivalent is the f-word in that context.
