1. Keep yout back straight. Pull the handle bar touching slightly to your chest and hold it for a few seconds.
2. When your knees are at 90 degree angle, make sure they don't touch your chest. If they touch your chest, you may hurt your back later. Press the footplate up and straighten your legs (but not lock your legs by letting they be too straight)
3. You should not rotate or swinging your back, try to keep it still while lifting weight. You can start with 8-10 pounds (4-5kg) dumbbell.
