Sounds like parenting language.
In this context, boundaries are like rules and limitations. A physical boundary is like a border. (This word gets used in a lot of contexts though).
Consequences are like the punishment you dole out when those boundaries are violated. Consequence, basically just means result. When someone you know behaves recklessly or without regard for others, you might urge them to think about the "consequences of their actions."

@CLund Thanks a lot for your kind explanation! I'm sorry for being vague again, but you made it a lot clearer. Thank you very much for helping me out again.
p.s. Othar than basketball and skateboard, what are you interested in?
If you tell me what you'd like to learn about Japanese language and culture,
I can add some of them in return for your very helpful answers.

@Jun24: i'm a big fan of many kinds of punk-rock and heavy music (I play it too). I'm sure Japan has some fans of that sort of music, but how do people feel about the fans and the music?
Besides that I like the films of Hayao Miyazaki and Makoto Shinkai as well as many films by western directors.
When i'm not busy with school I play video games, but alas, I have been quite busy recently.
Honestly I know almost nothing about the language. I can tell that there is a very different grammatical structure and word-order.

@CLund I think quite a few people like punk-rock and heavy music, but some of them are die-hard fans. They seem to be respected because they know very well about the music.
I know of a few non-Japanese people who are very fluent in Japanese. They mentioned that they are big fans of either Japanese movies or manga, and they memorize them all. So, if you like them, you have a chance to be fluent, too.
You’re right. Japanese word-order is completely different from that in English. That’s one of the main reasons why Japanese are having a hard time to learn English.
Unlike English, a predicator is put at the last of a sentence most of the time. We have original Japanese words and borrowing words from various languages, so it might be a bit confusing for non-Japanese people, too.
Since you’re amazingly good at reading comprehension, I was convinced that you are more like into reading, like literature or something. ^ ^

@Jun24: I do really like words and speaking eloquently but i don't exactly read as much as I think i should. I probably read less than half of the things I am assigned to read for class (although i was trying to read "Infinite Jest" by David Foster Wallace, which is an infamously long and difficult book to read, before I became so busy with school.)

@CLund I've just checked out the book, and found it has 1104 pages.
Are you kidding me... I would completely forget what is written in the first several pages before I start reading the second half.

@Jun24: one of the weirdest parts is that the story jumps around in time between chapters and it is difficult to determine the order of events because in the story, the years (written at the beginning of sections and chapters) cease being numbered because the government introduces "subsidized time." This basically means that a company can pay to decide the name of a year. So theres the "Year of the 'Depend' Adult Undergarment", the "Year of the 'Tucks' Medicated Pad" and the "Year of the Whopper" (whopper is the name of Burger King's burger).

@CLund Oh, that sounds interesting!
Actually, that reminds me of one of our old customs; we have several names for each month, just like native Americans name each month / moon. For example, we usually call November 11月. 月 means "month" and "moon." But we also call it 霜月, which means "the month when there is a frost."
I'm sorry I should probably stop writing. I didn't want to bother your study.
