1 - This sounds good. Simple, clear, perfect.
4 - This also sounds good. You need to change "most" to "largest". "amount" is a quantity that can be "large" or "small". "most" must be connected to an adjective. "most beautiful" (最も～)
2 - This one is pretty good. "in Japan in" is slightly awkward. I might change it to "Wakayama prefecture is the highest ranking producer in Japan of oranges, persimmons, and plums." (This makes it very similar to your #1).
3 - "takes the first place" → "takes first place". First place is usually used in some sort of competition or contest.

One question might be, which is better:
Wakayama Prefecture is the largest producer of oranges, persimmons and plums in Japan.
or
Wakayama Prefecture is the largest producer in Japan of oranges, persimmons and plums in Japan.

どっちもOKだと思いますが、個人的に言うと前者の方がいいでしょう。
