A:
We often say it that way. It's not playing with words, it's just easier to say "oh" than "zero."
For example, if someone lives in apartment number 301, we say "apartment three oh one." It's easier than saying "three zero one" or "three hundred one."

A:
GPA is "grade point average", the usual way that American schools report a student's overall performance in school.
Q:
O que significa GPA: Your GPA out of Maximum GPA?
A:
GPA = Grade point average
Maximum GPA is usually either 4.0 or 5.0
You’d write your GPA out of the total. So it should be for example 3.95 out of 4 unweighted or something.
Don’t write average GPA, the GPA is already an average.

Q:
Como é que se diz isto em Inglês (EUA)? “We will be evaluating your cumulative transferable GPA to NUC State. We do evaluate your most recent grade in a repeated course, but that original grade still populates on your transcript.” can someone explain me what is saying?
A:
They will look all of your grades, and determine how the overall average grade (GPA=Grade Point Average) will be transferred to the new school. If you repeated a course (because you did poorly the first time), only the second grade will be calculated into the average (if you got a 60 the first time and a 95 the second time, only the 95 will used in the calculation), but the original grade will remain as a historical part of your grade record (they will just look at it, not use it for anything).

Q:
What does GPA means? It is like a test for senior students in high school?
A:
^ yep, it means grade point average. This is an average of all of the grades from all the classes taken. Different schools take grades differently, but it is usually out of 4.0. So if a person has all A's they would probably have a 4.0 or higher if they took advanced classes.
